At the Royal School of Church Music International Conference held at St Andrews Cathedral last week, David Clark was invited to participate in a panel discussion on "The Role of the Organ in the Twenty-first Century". David was asked to outline our organ students' program here, which he called 'The Memorial Church Organ School Model". This has now been embraced by many churches in Australia, the latest being Wesley Uniting Church, Canberra, where two young Adventists are studying organ. Many questions were asked by prominent overseas organists and teachers about the Suzuki pedagogy used to enthuse and inspire very young children to become organists in their churches. To God be the glory!
Also as a witness to our faith, the Muswellbrook Organ Competition Committee changed its date from Saturday to Monday so our Memorial organ students could compete. The Thompson family were awarded prizes in all sections!
