WHAT IS BIG CAMP?

Big Camp is a special week where our church family comes together to grow closer to God and each other. It's for everyone, no matter how young or old, and it's filled with fun activities, stories about Jesus, and lessons that help us understand how to live better as Christians. We spend time singing, learning, playing, and making new friends, all in a beautiful place where we can see how amazing God's world is.

At Big Camp, you take a break from everyday life and spend time thinking about God, talking to Him, and learning more about what it means to be a part of our big church family. It's a week full of fun, friendship, and faith, where you come back feeling refreshed and ready to live out God's love in your life. So, come join us! It's a great way to make your faith stronger and have a lot of fun at the same time.

Lindy loves creating an atmosphere where little ones (and their parents!) are excited to participate and discover just how much Jesus loves them! When she’s not cutting out paper fish or making her teenage son roll his eyes again by singing her favorite kids’ songs, Lindy is a paralegal in Wills and Estates in helping people prepare for end moments in life, but on the weekends helping and sharing to little hearts the absolute joy of life with Jesus as their friend. She enjoys walking in the outdoors, reading, and spending quality time with her family.

Peau & Julie Afoa

HYPERACTIVE FAITH TENT
Peau has pastored the Narrabri and Moree churches for the past five years, while Julieanne serves as a registered nurse at Narrabri Hospital and the local Medical Centre. Together, they have been leading out the Hyperactive Faith Tent at Big Camp for three years, creating a space where Neurodivergent children can grow, learn about God, and know they are precious in His eyes. Their passion is personal—shaped by their son, Sefa, who lives with Autism and ADHD. This experience fuels their dedication to serve families with love, patience, and understanding.

This year’s theme, “The Carpenter’s Workshop: Crafting Community Connections,” reflects Jesus’ humble workshop, where every cut of wood and every joint crafted was not merely about creating something functional, but about shaping a space where families could gather, support one another, and foster a sense of belonging. Just as He shaped wood with care, He shaped hearts with His teachings, encouraging people to embrace compassion and understanding.
