Pastor Steven Teale appointed as NNSW ACS and ADRA Director

The North New South Wales Conference (NNSW) have appointed Pastor Steven Teale as Director of Adventist Community Services (ACS) and Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in North New South Wales.

Pastor Teale began ministry as a Bible worker and lay pastor at The Vine church plant in Tweed Heads following his baptism fifteen years ago. He later pastored churches in Bray Park and Pottsville and currently serves in the Kempsey district.

Throughout his ministry in the Northern Rivers and Kempsey regions, Pastor Teale has been actively involved in community initiatives through ACS, including the Backyard Blitz project in Pottsville and disaster relief efforts across the Mid North Coast earlier this year.

“I’m excited and looking forward to working with our churches and seeing how ACS functions across our conference. We just want to be the hands and feet of Jesus. At the end of the day, Christ’s method alone—He mingled with people’s needs—is what we want to follow as we seek to be a light in the community,” Pastor Teale said.

NNSW Conference president Pastor Cristian Copaceanu said Pastor Teale brings a valuable mix of ministry and life experience to the role. “Steve has run his own business while being deeply involved in helping people personally and through the churches he’s served,” Pastor Copaceanu said. “He’s been an early adopter of Adventist Community Services and has shown both competence and enthusiasm for this ministry. We’re really glad to have him as part of the team.”

Pastor Teale is married to Samantha, and they have eight children.
