Evangelistic plan for Philippines
This is a reaping campaign. Typically pastors in the Philippines have many churches and the soul winning is done by the members. Multiple Bible workers attached to each of our sites will work our territories for a minimum of two months before the campaign and continue for three months afterwards. Many Bible workers in the Philippines have a theology degree but due to impoverished missions have been unable to get a job as a pastor. Due to the extreme poverty of the nation we will hire our Bible workers.
Budget for Philippines – $2560-$2860
1. Airfares approximately $700 – 1000 – please note: You will be booking your own airfare. Cebu is very cheap, with a new plane, but no food, TV, the seat doesn’t recline and the arm rests don’t go up! This is the airline Lyle will probably be travelling with.
2. Hire of for Bible-worker ground work, venue hire, advertising, transportation to and from venue and accommodation for all ten days $1500 for each speaker
3. Cafeteria Meals for ten days. $360
4. Tuition. Sponsored by NNSW Conference
5. Exchange rate – variable depending on what card or cash exchange you use.
Of course you will want to bring some extra money for emergencies and opportunities that may arise to do other activities. Most days afternoons will be free for you if your material is well prepared or your partner is speaking that night. You can use this time to explore the city or go to the beach etc.
You also may want to consider staying longer and taking a holiday while you are in the Philippines. It is a country of stunning beauty, lush green mountains, amazing waterfalls and clear calm warm water with nice affordable resorts and activities.
Expect fluctuation in airfares give or take $300
