Practical Hydrotherapy Program

Physiotherapist Bruce Thompson presented a hydrotherapy program at Dora Creek Seventh-day Adventist Church on March 19 and 20. On Sabbath afternoon Bruce shared some insights from the book Ministry of Healing on how God wants us to become co-workers with Him and that He has a plan and a vision for our lives. You too can read and consider this. To find out more take a look at the Co-Workers with Him link.

Bruce showed us what are God’s true remedies and how God wants us to become skilled in them. “All gospel workers should know how to give the simple treatments that do so much to relieve pain and remove disease.” MH 145.2 “Pure air, sunlight, abstemiousness, rest, exercise, proper diet, the use of water, trust in divine power—these are the true remedies. Every person should have a knowledge of nature’s remedial agencies and how to apply them. It is essential both to understand the principles involved in the treatment of the sick and to have a practical training that will enable one rightly to use this knowledge.” MH 127.2

On Sabbath evening and Sunday Bruce demonstrated how to do some practical hydrotherapy remedies/treatments and we also got to try them on each other. One of the participants had a headache so he volunteered to be Bruce’s “patient” for the hot foot bath (which is an effective treatment for headaches. John Daoud says, “On the day I had a pounding headache that was consistent in intensity. During the treatment I felt the intensity reduce and in a few hours it was gone. “

Bruce Thompson has created a Traditional Hydrotherapy website based on the medical textbooks by Dr John Harvey Kellogg and Dr George Knapp-Abbott, and more recent hydrothermic doctors such as Dr Charles Thomas and Drs Calvin and Agatha Thrash. This website is a wonderful resource that enables anyone with a phone or computer to readily access information that can be helpful in treating disease and health issues, and explains the techniques and effects of the remedies, as well as listing the indications and contraindications and cautions.

More recently Dr Roger Seheult requested Bruce to make a COVID specific hydrotherapy website, Hydro4COVID

After the training weekend, one of the participants Ruth Stilinovic emailed and said, “Miroslav and I enjoyed the weekend with Bruce and it is very helpful, especially the website… We both found it most informative and his website is a really valuable resource to have access to. I have already shared it with a couple of friends who have some health issues. They were keen to check it out and got onto it straight away. I’ve come down with a cough and raspy throat just last night so did the neck heating compress to help bring relief. It was soothing.”

We had a fabulous weekend learning some of God’s simple remedies and connecting up with like minded people.
